Welcome to our consortium - we are a group of professionals with over thirty years experience in business. Each of us are experts in our chosen field. We can offer you a wide range of skills, many years of experience and an ability to adapt to an ever-changing industry. Individually we continue to work at the forefront of our professions, keeping abreast of the latest trends and technologies. Together we were perfectly matched for the conception, creation and now on-going development of the eFex forensic and intelligence system. Listed below are some of the core consortium members:
Larraine Preager has worked for 30 years across many mainstream blue chip business both nationally and internationally. Larraine has worked on many IT and business projects for companies and professional bodies such as; OFTEL, OFCOM, NCVO, BERR (formerly DTI), Her Majesty's Treasury, BDT Invest Ltd, Supranational Hotels Ltd, CoLP, NESTA, British Dental Association, Sweet & Maxwell, APL (now Lowe Worldwide) and Brit Insurance. She specialises in the design and development of bespoke IT systems predominantly within policing, insurance, travel and finance.
Jeff Alpe has been a police officer for 27 years, having served with the City of London Police, British Transport Police and Kent Police in a variety of roles within the Criminal Investigation Department and uniformed duties. Prior to joining the Scientific Support Unit, he was engaged as an operational police inspector at a busy central London Basic Command Unit (BCU). On taking up the role as Scientific Support Manager (SSM), he quickly became involved in setting up the Cross Border Forensic Intelligence Group. The Group boasted membership from all of the London forces, as well as those around London and the South East. Jeff was a keen practitioner within police forensics, both with traditional trace evidence and Hi-Tech Crime Applications.
Ian Gray has been a police officer for 26 yrs having served entirely with the City of London Police . He was a Detective Sergeant at a divisional station before commencing a career in forensics as a crime scene manager in 2000. He ran a team of SOCO's dealing with all aspects of forensic activity and was the driving force behind the need for an
e-solution to paper based forensics. He has since been promoted and heads up the Intelligence Team within the Economic Crime Department
Anna Skawski has worked in business communications for 15 years, her experience spans across business, consumer, national and international markets. Having worked with many household names such as The Daily Mirror, Emap Publishing and Reed International. Anna currently runs a media solutions business which handles PR, marketing, sales and international creative media solutions.
Cindy Symons has two decades of experience within major TV, retail and internet businesses as well as advertising agencies. Her specialisms include several years as an agency director in IT and being a marketing consultant. She also wrote her own regular columns in national magazines.
Max Brooker has been working in the Design industry since the early Nineties. Having worked for several design and new media agencies throughout the UK, he is now the creative head for a major Midlands-based design agency and also works freelance for eFex. His design experience is as diverse as his clients and has worked on many print and web-based projects. His clients have included; Thorntons, The Body Shop, Avon Cosmetics, Oracle, The James McNaughton Group, Bedfordshire Police Authority, IBM, TNS and Acer - to name but a few.
